J.C. Whitney Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor OEM Replacement

The J.C. Whitney Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor (also called an O2 sensor, air-fuel ratio sensor or Sensor 1) is an OEM replacement part. It is mounted in the exhaust stream ahead of the catalytic converter. It measures the oxygen content of the exhaust gases and sends that reading to the engine control module (ECM).

Key Features:

• Upstream position: Reads exhaust oxygen before the catalytic converter so the ECM can fine-tune the air-fuel mixture.
• Heated design: An internal heating element brings the sensor to operating temperature quickly. This lets the engine management system enter closed-loop operation sooner after a cold start.
• OEM replacement: Designed to replace the original equipment sensor in the same location.
• Engine management support: Accurate feedback helps maintain fuel economy, drivability and emissions control.

A worn or failing oxygen sensor can cause poor fuel economy, rough running, increased emissions and a check engine light. Replacing it restores correct feedback to the ECM. Select the variant that matches your application.
