J.C. Whitney JRM96090031 Heated Upstream Oxygen Sensor 4-Wire OEM Replacement

The J.C. Whitney JRM96090031 is a direct-fit, OEM-replacement heated upstream oxygen sensor designed for compatible Mazda Protegé and Miata applications. This 4-wire heated sensor delivers accurate air-fuel ratio data to the engine control module (ECM), helping maintain optimal combustion efficiency, fuel economy, and reduced emissions.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM Replacement: Engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for a plug-and-play installation with no modification required
• Heated Design: Integrated heating element allows the sensor to reach operating temperature quickly, improving cold-start performance and emissions control
• 4-Wire Construction: Features two heater wires and two signal wires for reliable, stable signal output
• Upstream (Pre-Catalytic Converter) Position: Monitors exhaust gases before the catalytic converter to provide real-time feedback for fuel trim management
• Durable Construction: Built to withstand extreme exhaust temperatures and harsh under-hood environments
• Restores Proper Engine Function: Helps eliminate check engine lights (CEL) related to O2 sensor fault codes such as P0130–P0167 series

A failing oxygen sensor can cause poor fuel mileage, rough idling, failed emissions tests, and damage to the catalytic converter over time. The J.C. Whitney JRM96090031 provides a reliable, cost-effective solution to restore proper sensor function and keep your vehicle running at peak performance.
