J.C. Whitney JRM96090013 Heated 4-Wire Upstream Oxygen Sensor OEM Replacement

The J.C. Whitney JRM96090013 is a direct-fit OEM replacement oxygen sensor designed to restore proper air/fuel mixture monitoring to your vehicle's engine management system. This is a heated, 4-wire upstream (pre-catalytic converter) oxygen sensor, engineered to match the original equipment specification for a precise, plug-and-play installation.

Upstream oxygen sensors play a critical role in engine efficiency — they measure exhaust gas oxygen content before the catalytic converter and relay that data to the ECU, allowing it to continuously adjust the fuel mixture for optimal combustion, fuel economy, and emissions performance. A failed or degraded sensor can trigger a check engine light (MIL), cause rough idle, reduce fuel economy, and increase harmful emissions.

Key Features:

• Heated Design: Integrated heating element brings the sensor to operating temperature faster, improving accuracy during cold starts and reducing warm-up emissions
• 4-Wire Configuration: Two heater circuit wires and two signal wires for compatibility with modern fuel-injected engines
• Upstream Position: Designed for the pre-catalytic converter location, directly monitoring combustion efficiency
• OEM Replacement: Built to meet original equipment specifications for a direct, no-modification fit
• Reliable Signal Output: Provides accurate voltage signal to the ECU for precise closed-loop fuel control

This sensor is a quality replacement for worn or failed original equipment units. Proper oxygen sensor function is essential to maintaining fuel efficiency, passing emissions inspections, and preventing long-term catalytic converter damage.
