J.C. Whitney JDL96090006 Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor 4-Wire OEM Replacement

The J.C. Whitney JDL96090006 is a direct-fit, OEM-replacement upstream oxygen sensor designed to restore precise air/fuel ratio monitoring in compatible Toyota and Lexus applications. This is a heated, 4-wire sensor, meaning it reaches operating temperature quickly after cold starts — reducing emissions and improving fuel efficiency from the moment the engine fires up.

Positioned upstream of the catalytic converter, this sensor continuously samples exhaust gases and sends feedback to the engine control module (ECM), allowing it to fine-tune the fuel mixture for optimal combustion. A failing upstream O2 sensor commonly triggers a Check Engine light, causes poor fuel economy, and can lead to catalytic converter damage if left unaddressed.

Key Features:

• OEM Replacement: Drop-in fitment designed to match original equipment specifications
• Heated Design: Integrated heating element enables fast sensor warm-up and accurate readings sooner after cold start
• 4-Wire Configuration: Two wires for the heater circuit, two for the sensor signal — standard layout for modern heated O2 sensors
• Upstream Position: Monitors exhaust gas before the catalytic converter for closed-loop fuel control
• Direct Connector Fit: Matches the original factory wiring connector for a plug-and-play installation

This oxygen sensor is a reliable, cost-effective alternative to dealership parts, helping maintain engine performance, fuel economy, and emissions compliance.
