J.C. Whitney JRP96090002 Upstream Heated 4-Wire Oxygen Sensor OEM Replacement

The J.C. Whitney JRP96090002 is a direct-fit, OEM replacement upstream oxygen sensor designed for select Porsche 911 and Saab 9-3 applications. This heated, 4-wire sensor restores precise air-fuel ratio monitoring to the engine management system, helping maintain optimal combustion efficiency, fuel economy, and emissions compliance.

Upstream oxygen sensors are positioned before the catalytic converter and serve as the primary feedback signal to the engine control unit (ECU). A failed upstream O2 sensor commonly triggers a check engine light, causes rough idle, increases fuel consumption, and can lead to premature catalytic converter damage. Replacing it with a quality OEM-style unit restores closed-loop fuel control.

Key Features:

• Heated Design: Integrated heating element reaches operating temperature quickly, ensuring accurate readings from cold start
• 4-Wire Configuration: Two heater wires and two signal wires for compatibility with factory wiring harness connectors
• Upstream (Pre-Cat) Position: Direct replacement for the primary air-fuel ratio sensor ahead of the catalytic converter
• OEM Replacement: Engineered to meet original equipment specifications for a drop-in fit without modification
• Restores Performance: Corrects rich/lean fuel trim conditions and clears related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)

The JRP96090002 is a straightforward, no-hassle replacement that brings your vehicle's exhaust monitoring system back to factory specification. Always verify sensor thread pitch and connector style match your vehicle's original equipment before installation.
