J.C. Whitney JRN96090016 Heated Upstream Oxygen Sensor 4-Wire OEM Replacement

The J.C. Whitney JRN96090016 is a direct-fit, OEM-replacement heated oxygen sensor designed for the upstream (before catalytic converter) position. Built as a 4-wire heated unit, it features an integrated heater circuit that brings the sensor up to optimal operating temperature quickly, ensuring accurate air-fuel ratio readings from cold start conditions.

Key Features:

• Heated Design: 4-wire heated oxygen sensor for fast warm-up and consistent exhaust gas readings
• Upstream / Bank 1 Sensor 1 Position: Installs before the catalytic converter on the left (driver) side
• Direct OEM Replacement: Engineered to match original equipment specifications for a plug-and-play installation
• Threaded-In Mounting Style: Standard M18 x 1.5 threaded bung for straightforward installation and removal
• Non-California Emissions: Designed for standard (non-CARB/CA) emissions configurations
• Restores Engine Performance: Replaces worn or failed sensors that cause rough idle, poor fuel economy, or check engine light (CEL) codes

A properly functioning upstream oxygen sensor is critical to your vehicle's engine management system, allowing the ECU to precisely control fuel delivery and maintain optimal combustion efficiency. This J.C. Whitney replacement sensor meets OEM specifications to help restore fuel economy, reduce emissions, and eliminate oxygen-sensor-related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
