J.C. Whitney JARBS960913 Heated Upstream Oxygen Sensor 4-Wire OEM Replacement

The J.C. Whitney JARBS960913 is a heated, 4-wire upstream oxygen sensor designed as a direct OEM replacement. This oxygen sensor (also known as an O2 sensor or lambda sensor) monitors the air/fuel mixture in the exhaust stream ahead of the catalytic converter, providing real-time feedback to the engine control module (ECM) to optimize combustion efficiency, fuel economy, and emissions.

Key Features:

• Heated Design: Built-in heating element allows the sensor to reach operating temperature faster, improving closed-loop fuel management at cold start and reducing emissions during warm-up
• 4-Wire Configuration: Two dedicated heater circuit wires plus two signal wires for precise, responsive air/fuel ratio readings
• Upstream (Pre-Cat) Position: Installs in the exhaust manifold or downpipe ahead of the catalytic converter for primary fuel trim control
• OEM Replacement: Engineered to match original equipment specifications for a direct plug-and-play fit
• Accurate Signal Output: Delivers reliable voltage switching between rich and lean conditions for proper ECM feedback

Replacing a faulty upstream oxygen sensor can resolve diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) such as P0130–P0135, restore proper fuel trims, improve fuel economy, and reduce harmful exhaust emissions. This sensor is a straightforward replacement requiring no cutting or splicing when installed per OEM connector configuration.
