J.C. Whitney JP960901 Heated 4-Wire Upstream Left Oxygen Sensor OEM Replacement

The J.C. Whitney JP960901 is a direct-fit OEM replacement oxygen sensor designed for the Porsche Boxster (2000–2003). This heated, 4-wire upstream left (pre-catalyst) sensor monitors exhaust gas oxygen content and communicates with the engine control unit (ECU) to maintain optimal air-to-fuel ratio, ensuring peak engine performance and fuel efficiency.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM Replacement: Engineered to match original factory specifications for a precise, no-modification installation
• Heated Design: Integrated heating element allows the sensor to reach operating temperature faster, reducing cold-start emissions and improving fuel management
• 4-Wire Construction: Two heater circuit wires and two signal wires for accurate, stable oxygen measurement and reliable ECU communication
• Upstream Left Position: Designed specifically for the pre-catalytic converter (upstream/bank 1) left-side location in the exhaust system
• Restores Performance: Replacing a faulty O2 sensor can resolve poor fuel economy, rough idle, failed emissions tests, and illuminated check engine lights (CEL)

The JP960901 is a quality aftermarket solution for Porsche Boxster owners seeking a reliable, cost-effective alternative to dealer-sourced parts. Proper oxygen sensor function is critical to emissions compliance and long-term engine health.
