Product Details

The J.C. Whitney JDN96090001 is a direct-fit, heated upstream oxygen sensor designed as an OEM-quality replacement. Positioned before the catalytic converter, this upstream O2 sensor monitors exhaust oxygen content and sends a voltage signal to the engine control unit (ECU), enabling precise air-to-fuel mixture adjustments for optimal engine performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions compliance.

The built-in heater element enables the sensor to reach operating temperature quickly after a cold start, allowing the engine management system to enter closed-loop operation sooner and reduce emissions during warm-up. The 4-wire design separates the heater circuit from the signal circuit for accurate and stable readings.

Key Features:

  • Direct-Fit OEM Replacement – Designed to match factory connector and wire length for a plug-and-play installation
  • Heated Sensor – Integrated heater element accelerates warm-up and supports closed-loop engine operation shortly after startup
  • 4-Wire Design – Dedicated heater wires and signal wires for precise voltage output and reliable ECU communication
  • Upstream Position – Installs before the catalytic converter (Bank 1, Sensor 1) for air/fuel ratio feedback and mixture control
  • Threaded Mounting – Standard threaded-in installation compatible with a 7/8 in. (22 mm) oxygen sensor socket
  • Stainless Steel Housing – Corrosion-resistant construction engineered to withstand high exhaust temperatures

A faulty or degraded upstream oxygen sensor can trigger check engine light codes, cause poor fuel economy, increase harmful emissions, and over time lead to catalytic converter damage from an uncorrected rich fuel mixture. Replacing a worn sensor restores proper closed-loop fuel control and protects downstream exhaust components.

THMotorsports had some tires in a size that I was having a hard time finding elsewhere. The price was fair, the shipping super fast, and the tires were exactly as described. Thanks THMotorsports!
