Standard Motor Products TS542 Engine Cooling Fan Switch

The Standard Motor Products TS542 is a direct-fit replacement engine cooling fan switch (also known as a coolant temperature fan switch or radiator fan switch) engineered to restore proper electric cooling fan operation. This thermal switch monitors coolant temperature and signals the fan controller to activate or deactivate the electric cooling fan at the correct threshold, helping to prevent engine overheating.

Key Features:

• OEM-grade design: Built to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for proper fit, form, and function
• Bimetallic contact arm: The switch uses a precision-formed bimetallic contact arm that responds to temperature changes through the differential expansion rates of two fused metals
• Factory calibrated: Every unit is factory-calibrated and tested to confirm accurate switch actuation at the specified temperature set point
• Snap-action signal transfer: Activates a snap-action electrical contact that reliably transfers the on/off signal to the fan controller
• High-grade materials: Constructed with robust materials to withstand the demanding thermal and chemical environment of the cooling system
• Direct replacement: Sold as a single unit; no relay, sending unit, or wiring harness included

Standard Motor Products is a globally recognized manufacturer of original equipment ignition and temperature management components, maintaining complete quality control throughout the manufacturing process. The TS542 coolant fan switch is a dependable, drop-in replacement that restores cooling system performance to factory standards.
