Moroso Engine Oil Pans: Engineered for Maximum Oil Control
When oil starvation is not an option, Moroso has long been the answer for serious engine builders and racers. Their lineup of engine oil pans represents decades of purpose-built engineering focused on one goal: keeping oil at the pickup no matter how hard you push the engine. Whether you are launching off the line, carving through corners, or holding wide-open throttle at the top of a standing mile, a Moroso oil pan is designed to keep your oiling system working when it matters most.
Why Moroso Oil Pans Stand Apart
Whether you drag, oval, or road race, Moroso oil pans are fully fabricated from aluminum or steel with race-proven features that control oil for maximum power — the key being to keep the crankshaft free of excess oil so the engine can spin freely and achieve its full power potential. That philosophy is baked into every design choice Moroso makes.
One of the most important features across the Moroso oil pan lineup is multi-stage internal baffling. Many pans feature a removable anti-slosh baffle, six trap doors, and two sump baffles for improved oil control — a system that prevents oil from sloshing away from the pickup under hard acceleration, braking, and cornering. On drag-race-specific pans, a large power kickout, integral crankshaft scraper, windage tray, and internal baffling ensure quick oil return to the pick-up area under the most severe racing conditions.
Moroso oil pans are offered in both wet and dry sump configurations. A wet sump system is based on the original equipment oiling system and can be enhanced with certain components to improve oil control and increase power, while a dry sump system is designed for the top levels of racing where maximum power and oil control are absolutely essential.
A Pan for Every Engine and Application
Moroso's catalog covers an impressive range of platforms. For import performance enthusiasts, pans designed for Honda/Acura B-Series and K-Series engines feature a kicked-out sump, dynamic trap door baffling suited for drag race and street use, and a 1/4" thick pan rail for rigidity. Turbo and supercharger builders benefit from built-in provisions: turbo/supercharger oil drain back and temperature sensor bungs, along with a magnetic drain plug , are standard features on many pans. For Toyota applications, trap door baffling and a removable windage tray improve oil control, with a fully fabricated aluminum construction and an integrated threaded bung for the turbo return line.
At the top of the drag racing hierarchy, Pro Eliminator oil pans are designed for ultra-high horsepower applications and are the result of over 35 years of research and development, offering the right combination of oil control and power-producing features. For those who need the absolute maximum, Ultra Pro Dry Sump oil pans offer the ultimate in dry sump technology and are available for 3, 4, 4-1/2, and 5 stage systems.
Even heavy-duty diesel platforms are covered — the Moroso 7.3 Powerstroke oil pan features 16-gauge steel construction with a triple-coated finishing process and an OEM-style anti-slosh baffle and a magnetic drain plug to capture metallic particles.
Construction Quality and Finish
Moroso oil pans are built from either aluminum or high-grade steel depending on the application. Steel pans receive a black powder coat finish from Moroso Powder Coating for corrosion resistance and clean aesthetics. Aluminum pans are fully fabricated and, on competition applications, feature a billet rail with steel inserts for durability. The combination of materials engineering and precision fabrication gives these pans the structural integrity demanded by high-power, high-RPM engines.
With a catalog of 24 products spanning street, strip, road race, and all-out competition applications, Moroso engine oil pans give builders the tools to protect an engine investment and unlock every last horsepower.
