Field Controls Automatic Vent Damper for Gas Systems

The Field Controls Automatic Vent Damper (GVD series gas vent damper) is built for 24 volt gas-fired appliances such as boilers and furnaces. It opens the vent while the appliance runs and closes it when the appliance cycles off. This helps keep heated indoor air from escaping up the flue, and it helps keep cold air from coming down the vent.

• Stainless steel construction for corrosion resistance
• Works with 24 VAC, 60 Hz intermittent ignition and standing pilot ignition systems
• Motorized operation: power opens the damper in about 15 seconds and power closes it in about 15 seconds. The motor is not powered when the damper is at rest
• Dual safety switches allow the burner to fire only when the damper is in the open position
• Hold-open switch lets you lock the damper open and take it out of service while troubleshooting appliance problems
• Keyed wiring harness connector plug installs only one way, which prevents incorrect wiring connections
• Does not interfere with the appliance's existing safety controls when installed properly
