Field Controls GVD-6PL Automatic Vent Damper for Gas Systems - 6 24V

The Field Controls GVD-6PL is a 6-inch automatic vent damper designed for 24-volt gas heating systems. This motorized damper automatically opens when the heating system fires and closes when the system shuts down, preventing heat loss up the chimney during off-cycles and improving overall system efficiency.

Key Features:

• 6-inch diameter fits standard residential vent pipes
• 24-volt operation compatible with most residential gas furnaces and boilers
• Automatic operation improves energy efficiency by reducing standby heat loss
• Durable construction designed for years of reliable service
• UL listed for safety and performance

Important Note: Wiring harness sold separately (Part #464). This damper requires proper electrical connection to your heating system's control circuit for automatic operation. Professional installation recommended to ensure compliance with local codes and manufacturer specifications.

Ideal for retrofit applications or new installations where improving heating system efficiency is a priority. By preventing warm air from escaping through the vent during furnace off-cycles, this automatic damper helps reduce heating costs while maintaining safe venting operation.
