Field Controls GVD-9PL Automatic Vent Damper for Gas Systems - 9 24V

The Field Controls GVD-9PL is a 9-inch automatic vent damper designed for residential and light commercial gas-fired heating appliances operating on 24-volt systems. This energy-saving device automatically closes when the heating system is off, preventing heated indoor air from escaping up the chimney or vent pipe, which reduces standby heat loss and improves overall system efficiency.

Key Features:

• 9-inch diameter fits standard vent pipe sizes
• 24-volt operation integrates with most modern gas heating systems
• Automatic operation opens when system fires, closes when system shuts down
• Reduces energy waste by preventing draft loss during off-cycles
• Durable construction for reliable long-term performance
• Safety thermal fuse protects against overheating

Important Note: This unit does NOT include the wiring harness. The appropriate wiring harness must be purchased separately based on your specific installation requirements.

Automatic vent dampers are ideal for improving the efficiency of gas furnaces, boilers, and water heaters by minimizing the amount of conditioned air lost through the venting system when the appliance is not operating. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper operation and compliance with local building codes.
