Wells Positive Crankcase Ventilation PCV Valve Replacement

The Wells Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve is a replacement emissions-control part. It regulates the flow of crankcase vapors, also called blow-by gases, from the engine crankcase back into the intake manifold to be burned in the combustion chamber. A PCV valve in good working order helps the engine run smoothly and keeps harmful vapors out of the atmosphere.

Key Features:

• Meters crankcase ventilation according to engine vacuum and operating conditions
• Helps reduce crankcase pressure and limits oil sludge and contamination buildup inside the engine
• Supports emissions control by routing blow-by gases into the intake to be burned
• Helps protect seals and gaskets from the pressure that can cause oil leaks
• Replacement design intended to restore proper ventilation and idle quality

Wells is a long-established supplier of aftermarket engine management and emissions parts. Replacing a clogged or sticking PCV valve at the recommended service interval is a simple, low-cost way to support engine efficiency, smooth idle and long engine life.
