Wells 6P1238 Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve

The Wells 6P1238 is a direct-fit replacement Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve engineered to meet or exceed original equipment (OE) specifications for fit, form, and function. The PCV valve is a one-way valve that routes blow-by gases produced in the engine's crankcase back into the combustion chamber, reducing harmful emissions and protecting the engine from internal pressure buildup.

As a routine maintenance item, replacing the PCV valve at the manufacturer-recommended service interval helps prevent sludge formation, minimizes condensation-related engine wear, and keeps the crankcase ventilation system operating efficiently.

Key Features:

• Direct OE replacement — designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications
• One-way valve design routes crankcase gases back to the combustion chamber
• Helps reduce harmful emissions and maintains proper crankcase pressure
• Prevents sludge buildup and moisture-related internal engine wear
• Sold as a single unit

The Wells 6P1238 PCV valve is also cross-referenced under the WVE by NTK brand. Regular replacement of the PCV valve — typically every 30,000 miles or as specified in your owner's manual — is a simple, cost-effective way to protect engine longevity.
