Gates EMH977 PCV Valve with Bolt and O-Ring

The Gates EMH977 is a precision-engineered positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve designed to regulate the flow of gases from the engine crankcase back into the intake manifold for re-combustion. This critical emissions control component helps maintain proper engine vacuum, reduce harmful emissions, and prevent pressure buildup in the crankcase that can lead to oil leaks and gasket damage.

Key Features:

• 1/4-inch fitting size for secure connection
• Includes mounting bolt and O-ring for complete installation
• Precision valve mechanism maintains optimal crankcase ventilation
• Helps prevent oil sludge buildup and extends engine life
• Direct replacement design for easy installation
• Manufactured to Gates' OE-quality standards

A properly functioning PCV valve is essential for engine performance and longevity. Symptoms of a failing PCV valve include rough idle, increased oil consumption, oil leaks, and reduced fuel economy. Gates recommends replacing the PCV valve as part of regular maintenance to ensure optimal engine health and emissions compliance.
