Gates EMH985 PCV Valve 3/16 Inch Engine Crankcase Ventilation

The Gates EMH985 is a precision-engineered positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve designed to regulate harmful blow-by gases and maintain optimal engine performance. This 3/16 inch valve is a critical emission control component that recycles crankcase gases back through the intake manifold, where they are burned during the combustion process rather than being released into the atmosphere.

Key Features:

• OE-exact engineering ensures precise fit and easy installation
• Spring-loaded valve design with sliding pintle for variable flow control
• 3/16 inch connection size for specific vehicle applications
• One-way valve operation prevents backflow and protects against engine backfire
• Reduces harmful emissions while improving engine efficiency
• Helps prevent oil leaks by maintaining proper crankcase pressure
• Built to Gates quality standards for reliable, long-lasting performance

This PCV valve plays a vital role in your engine's health by preventing pressure buildup in the crankcase, which can lead to blown gaskets, oil seal failures, and increased oil consumption. By maintaining proper crankcase ventilation, the Gates EMH985 helps reduce engine sludge, extends oil life, and keeps internal engine components cleaner. The valve automatically adjusts flow rates based on engine vacuum levels, restricting flow at idle for smooth operation while allowing increased flow under load to handle higher volumes of blow-by gases.
