Johnson Controls V46AE-17 1-1/4" Pressure-Actuated Water Regulating Valve 70-260 PSI

The Johnson Controls V46AE-17 is a 2-way pressure-actuated water-regulating valve designed for commercial refrigeration applications. This direct-acting modulating valve features a 1-1/4 inch NPT threaded connection and operates within a 70 to 260 PSI pressure range, making it ideal for regulating refrigerant head pressure in water-cooled condensers.

Key Features:

• Cast iron body construction with corrosion-resistant materials for parts in direct contact with water
• Pressure-actuated operation with direct-acting control (opens on pressure increase)
• All-range construction suitable for use with standard non-corrosive refrigerants
• Pressure-balanced design maintains consistent setpoint against water pressure changes
• Take-apart construction allows servicing without removing valve from system
• 1/4 inch external flare fitting for pressure element connection
• Suitable for both closed and open water systems

This valve is typically installed vertically on the inlet side of the condenser with the spring housing facing upward. The pressure-actuated design provides reliable, automatic modulation of water flow based on refrigerant head pressure, optimizing condenser performance and water usage in commercial refrigeration systems.
