Gates 51703 Modular Coolant Hose Assembly

The Gates 51703 is a premium modular coolant hose assembly engineered to deliver OEM-quality cooling system performance. This application-specific hose is precision-manufactured to fit exact vehicle specifications, ensuring reliable coolant flow and system integrity.

Key Features:

• EPDM tube construction with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement and heat-resistant EPDM cover
• Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
• Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
• Heat and ozone resistant cover for extended service life
• Re-engineered materials resist vacuum collapse without internal springs
• May include integrated OE components such as quick-connectors, branches, sensors, or restrictors
• Meets SAE 20R3 EC Class D1 standards (under 1" ID) and SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 (1" ID and over)

Gates modular coolant hoses are designed to replace complex OEM assemblies with a single precision-molded component, eliminating the need to source multiple parts or visit the dealership. The advanced EPDM compound resists the electrochemical reactions that cause micro-cracks and premature hose failure, ensuring long-lasting durability in demanding cooling system applications. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps when installing any new coolant hose.
