Product Details

The Dayco 89702 Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly is designed to maintain constant tension on serpentine belt drive systems in automotive and light truck applications. This precision-engineered component ensures optimal belt performance throughout its service life.

Key Features:

  • Heavy-duty cast aluminum spring case and arm resists cracking and fatigue while providing superior strength
  • Patented flat spring design delivers consistent tension with less operating range variation
  • PTFE string wound within the spring dampens noise and resists abrasion
  • Rust-resistant coating on flat spring for enhanced durability
  • Steel pivot tube on specific designs provides enhanced stability
  • Thermoplastic rubber spring slot plugs and O-ring seals keep contaminants out
  • Zinc-coated mounting hardware resists corrosion

This tensioner assembly reduces the risk of premature accessory bearing failure caused by excessive tension when new belts are installed, while also preventing belt noise, slippage, and poor performance from insufficient tension. Built to outperform and outlast competitive parts, the Dayco 89702 endures demanding operating conditions while promoting quieter performance and extended service life.
