Product Details

The Dayco 89653 Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly is engineered to maintain constant, optimal tension on serpentine belt drive systems. This complete tensioner assembly features Dayco's patented flat spring design that provides consistent performance throughout the belt's service life.

Key Features:

  • Patented flat spring design reduces operating range variation for consistent belt tension
  • Heavy-duty cast aluminum spring case and arm resist cracking, fatigue, and distortion
  • PTFE string wound within the spring resists abrasion and dampens noise
  • Coated flat spring provides rust resistance for extended service life
  • Reduces risk of premature accessory bearing failure from excessive tension
  • Minimizes belt noise, slippage, and poor performance caused by low tension
  • OE-quality design and construction for reliable daily driver performance

This tensioner assembly is designed to eliminate the common issues associated with worn tensioners, including belt squeal, accessory slippage, and premature belt wear. The precision-engineered spring mechanism ensures proper belt tension from installation through the entire service interval, protecting your engine's accessory components and maintaining efficient power transfer.
