Gates 24118 Modular Coolant Hose

The Gates 24118 is a premium Modular Coolant Hose engineered as a direct OEM-style replacement for automotive cooling systems. Constructed with an EPDM tube, synthetic fiber knit reinforcement, and a heat- and ozone-resistant EPDM cover, this hose is built to deliver long-lasting, leak-free performance in demanding under-hood environments.

Key Features:

• OEM-matched design — manufactured to fit specific applications, incorporating integrated OE components such as hose branches, quick-connectors, sensors, and restrictors where applicable
• EPDM construction — tube and cover resist heat, ozone, and chemical coolants for extended service life
• Electrochemical degradation resistance — engineered compound combats ECD, the leading cause of coolant hose failure
• Vacuum collapse resistance — re-engineered materials maintain hose shape under vacuum conditions, reducing the need for internal support springs
• Wide temperature range — rated from -40°F to +257°F (-40°C to +125°C)
• SAE certified — meets SAE 20R3 EC Class D1 for IDs under 25mm (1 in.) and SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 for IDs 25mm (1 in.) and over

Important Notes: Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed. This hose is not intended for use in fuel or oil transfer applications.

Gates is the automotive aftermarket leader in modular assembly coolant hoses, combining over a century of engineering expertise to deliver replacement parts that meet or exceed original equipment standards.
