Namura Technologies: Precision Engine Components for Powersports
Namura Technologies has been a dedicated force in the powersports aftermarket since 2001. Founded and headquartered in Minnesota, USA, the company set out with a straightforward but ambitious mission: to manufacture engine components that outperform OEM parts without the OEM price tag. Over two decades later, that philosophy continues to define everything Namura produces.
At its core, Namura is a specialist. Rather than spreading across dozens of product categories, the company has sharpened its focus on the internal components that make or break an engine rebuild — pistons, piston rings, gaskets and seals, top-end kits, and cylinder kits. This focus translates into a depth of engineering expertise that generalist brands rarely match.
Engineering That Goes Beyond OEM
Namura's pistons are a standout example of this engineering commitment. Forged pistons in the lineup utilize advanced aluminum alloys — including 4032 alloy — chosen for their optimal balance of strength, thermal stability, and wear resistance. Every forged piston features 100% CNC-machined domes, hard-anodized dome surfaces for heat resistance and reduced carbon buildup, and MoS2-coated skirts that protect the engine during the critical break-in period.
For riders who demand even more, Namura's Hyperdryve line uses a hypereutectic aluminum alloy originally developed for the aerospace industry, capable of maintaining high tensile strength at temperatures up to 700°F — a significant margin above conventional cast pistons.
A Complete Top-End Solution
What sets Namura apart from many component suppliers is its ability to provide a complete top-end rebuild solution under one brand. Their engine top-end kits bring together pistons, rings, gaskets, wrist pins, circlips, and needle bearings (where applicable) into a single, coordinated package. Each component is individually wrapped and arrives ready to install, reducing the risk of mixing incompatible parts from different manufacturers.
Complementing these kits, Namura's engine piston rings are engineered specifically for each application, with the cylinder sleeve type, bore coating, engine displacement, and stroke all factored into the ring composition. Compression rings are manufactured from either highly ductile cast iron or stainless steel alloy for a durable, gas-tight seal.
The brand's gaskets and seals are designed to work in harmony with Namura pistons, ensuring that the entire top-end assembly performs as a unified system rather than a collection of mismatched parts.
Wide Fitment Across Major Brands
Namura supports an extensive range of powersports vehicles, including models from Arctic Cat, Can-Am, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Polaris, Suzuki, Yamaha, Sea-Doo, and more. Whether you're rebuilding a motocross bike, refreshing an ATV, restoring a UTV, or overhauling a personal watercraft, Namura's catalog — spanning nearly 2,000 products — almost certainly has an application-specific solution. Manufacturing takes place in ISO-certified facilities, providing additional assurance of consistent quality across the entire product range.
