Clevite MS839P P-Series Tri-Metal Main Bearing Set

The Clevite MS839P is part of the P-Series main bearing family, the oldest members of the Clevite 77 bearing line intended for high-revving engines. This bearing set is ideal for rebuilding engines where more demanding use is anticipated, such as heavy duty, motorsports, or street performance, and serves as the most versatile replacement suitable for most OE applications.

Advanced Tri-Metal Construction:

• Tri-metal cast copper lead construction with a steel back for support, a cast copper lead lining to withstand the loads of engine operation, and an electroplated babbitt overlay on the running surface
• Higher eccentricity and high crush factor to compensate for high-load factors and distortion in high-performance engines
• High crush qualities for maximum bearing retention and reduced overlay thickness to prevent fatigue
• Increased load capacity over bi-metal engine bearings, making it a suitable upgrade

Performance Features:

• Oil grooves on most applications extend all the way around both halves for better oiling
• Produces a degree of conformability, embedability, slipperiness, and fatigue resistance not found in original equipment and competitive bimetal bearings
• Color coded for quick and positive identification of undersizes, virtually eliminating confusion or errors in installation

Clevite engine bearings have been winning NASCAR sanctioned races since the very first NASCAR championship in 1948, providing proven reliability for both street and track applications.
