Clevite MS838P P-Series Tri-Metal Main Bearing Set

The Clevite MS838P is a P-Series main bearing set from the legendary Clevite 77 bearing family, engineered for high-revving engines and demanding performance applications. As part of the oldest and most proven series in the Clevite lineup, these bearings are designed to handle heavy-duty use, motorsports, and street performance builds where reliability is critical.

Advanced Tri-Metal Construction:

• Steel back provides structural support and heat transfer
• Cast copper-lead intermediate layer withstands heavy engine loads
• Electroplated babbitt overlay on running surface delivers superior bearing qualities
• Higher eccentricity and crush factor compensates for high-load factors and distortion

Performance Features:

• Extended oil grooves for improved lubrication on most applications
• Exceptional conformability, embedability, and fatigue resistance
• Superior slipperiness reduces friction and wear
• Outperforms OEM and competitive bimetal bearings

Manufactured by MAHLE Clevite, a trusted name in engine bearings since 1929, with a proven track record in NASCAR, IndyCar, and countless high-performance street and race engines. P-Series bearings are suitable for most OE applications and represent a significant upgrade from bimetal bearing designs.
