Clevite MS1497P P-Series Tri-Metal Main Bearing Set

The Clevite MS1497P is a P-Series tri-metal main bearing set designed for high-performance and racing applications. As the oldest series in the Clevite 77 performance bearing family, P-Series bearings are engineered specifically for high-revving engines that demand superior durability under extreme loads and speeds.

Construction and Features:

• Tri-metal cast copper lead construction with hardened steel backing for maximum strength
• Cast copper lead lining engineered to withstand heavy loads during high-RPM operation
• Electroplated babbitt overlay on running surface provides excellent wear resistance and bearing surface qualities
• High eccentricity design compensates for high-load factors and bearing bore distortion
• High crush factor ensures maximum bearing retention in the housing
• Full-groove oil distribution maximizes oil flow to connecting rod bearings
• Reduced overlay thickness prevents overlay fatigue commonly known as hen tracking

Clevite P-Series main bearings deliver exceptional conformability, embedability, and fatigue resistance that surpasses original equipment and competitive bimetal bearings. These bearings are ideal for competition engines, modified street engines, and any application requiring dependable performance at sustained high RPM.
