Product Details

The Dorman 604-242 Air Door Actuator is a direct replacement HVAC mode door actuator designed to restore proper climate control functionality in your vehicle. This actuator controls the directional airflow in your HVAC system, directing air to the floor, dash vents, or defrost positions based on your climate control settings.

Key Features:

  • Engineered with robust, high-quality materials for improved durability and longevity
  • Direct-fit replacement for failed OEM actuators that cause clicking noises or improper airflow direction
  • Restores proper mode door operation to ensure air flows to the selected vents
  • Rigorously tested to meet or exceed OEM performance standards
  • Designed for reliable operation in extreme temperature conditions

When an HVAC mode door actuator fails, common symptoms include clicking or ticking noises from behind the dashboard, air blowing from incorrect vents, or inability to switch between defrost, vent, and floor settings. The Dorman 604-242 provides a dependable solution to these problems, restoring full functionality to your vehicle's climate control system.
