Product Details

The Gates 23789 Premium Molded Coolant Hose is a factory-molded lower radiator hose engineered to deliver OEM-quality performance and precise fitment for specific vehicle applications. This pre-shaped coolant hose is manufactured with advanced EPDM rubber construction designed to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure.

Key Features:

  • Pre-shaped molded design ensures exact OEM fitment and proper sealed connections
  • Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation, heat, and ozone damage
  • Vacuum collapse resistant construction reduces the need for internal springs
  • Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
  • Meets SAE 20R4 EC Class D-1 and D-2 specifications
  • Aramid or rayon knit reinforcement for superior strength and durability
  • Approved for marine applications

Gates molded coolant hoses are precision-manufactured to match original equipment specifications, eliminating the need for costly dealer visits while ensuring reliable cooling system performance. The advanced rubber compound provides exceptional resistance to chemical coolants and maintains flexibility across extreme temperature ranges. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for optimal performance and leak prevention.

Note: Not intended for fuel or oil transfer applications.
