Standard Motor Products TS257 Engine Cooling Fan Temperature Switch

The Standard Motor Products TS257 is a direct-fit replacement engine cooling fan temperature switch, also known as a radiator fan switch or coolant fan switch. Threaded into the radiator or coolant passage, this switch monitors coolant temperature and signals the electric cooling fan to activate when the engine reaches its operating threshold — helping prevent overheating and maintaining safe engine temperatures.

Key Features:

• Creep action design provides precise, reliable switch actuation at the specified coolant temperature
• 2-terminal bullet-type connector for straightforward, plug-and-play installation
• Built to meet or exceed OEM specifications for proper fit, form, and function
• Calibrated and tested at the factory to confirm accurate switch activation at the rated temperature
• Constructed from high-grade materials engineered to withstand the demanding conditions of the engine cooling system
• Sold individually as a direct OEM-style replacement

The TS257 is a purpose-built cooling system component from Standard Motor Products, a trusted name in OE-quality replacement parts. Proper function of the coolant fan switch is critical to cooling system performance — a failed switch can result in the fan not engaging, leading to engine overheating. Replace a faulty or suspect fan switch with this precision-calibrated unit for restored, reliable cooling system operation.
