Standard Motor Products TS238 Coolant Fan Switch

The Standard Motor Products TS238 is a direct-fit replacement coolant fan switch designed to restore proper electric cooling fan operation. This temperature-activated switch monitors engine coolant temperature and signals the cooling fan to engage at the appropriate threshold, helping prevent overheating and protecting engine components.

Key Features:

• Stock thermal switch style — engineered to match original equipment design and function
• OEM-equivalent performance — built to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for reliable, accurate temperature-triggered activation
• Precision calibrated — each unit is tested to confirm switch actuation at the specified temperature setpoint
• Bimetallic contact design — utilizes the differential expansion rates of two fused metals to deliver consistent, snap-action electrical switching
• Custom wax pellet formulation — wax element expands when heated to activate the snap-action contact and relay the signal to the fan controller
• Sold individually — includes one coolant fan switch; no relay, sending unit, wiring harness, or manual override switch included

Standard Motor Products has been a trusted supplier of engine management and temperature sensing components for decades. The TS238 coolant fan switch is a straightforward, bolt-in replacement that restores factory cooling fan behavior and helps maintain optimal engine operating temperature.
