CMP Streamlined Shaft Anode Aluminum

The CMP Streamlined Shaft Anode in aluminum is a sacrificial shaft anode (also called a prop shaft zinc alternative or shaft collar anode). It gives cathodic protection to propeller shafts and the metal parts around them. It corrodes in place of your underwater metals, which helps guard them against galvanic corrosion.

Key Features:

• High-purity aluminum alloy built to meet or exceed US Military Specification Mil-A-24779
• Interlocking halves make a snug fit around the shaft
• Full shaft contact with a 100% circular radius, for good electrical contact
• Extra alloy around the fastener, so the anode lasts longer
• Stainless steel hardware with bolt-retaining washers that help keep the anode from falling off
• Streamlined profile
• Can be installed underwater

Aluminum anodes work well in salt and brackish water and are generally more efficient than zinc. They are not recommended for fresh water. This line offers several shaft diameters, so you can choose the size that matches your shaft.
