The CMP CMX07AL is an aluminum streamlined shaft anode (propeller shaft zinc alternative) for boats operating in salt and brackish water. It is sized for a 1-1/2 inch shaft and acts as a sacrificial anode, corroding in place of the metal parts it protects.
