Aaon Thermostatic Expansion Valve

The Aaon Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV, also called a thermostatic expansion valve or A/C expansion valve) is a replacement metering device for Aaon commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. It controls how much liquid refrigerant flows into the evaporator. This keeps superheat in the correct range as the cooling load changes.

Key Features:

• Meters refrigerant flow to the evaporator based on suction line temperature and pressure
• Helps the system run efficiently and cool consistently across changing load conditions
• Helps protect the compressor by limiting liquid refrigerant flooding back to it
• Sweat (ODF) connections for brazed installation into the refrigerant circuit
• Sold under the Aaon brand as a replacement part for Aaon equipment

Installation should be done by a qualified refrigeration technician. This includes recovering the refrigerant, brazing the connections, and setting superheat to specification. Choose the variant that matches your system's connection sizes and original part number.
