Sumitomo Encounter All-Season Highway Tire

The Sumitomo Encounter HT2 is an all-season highway tire for pickups, SUVs, crossovers and full-size vans. It is built for dependable year-round traction and a smooth, quiet ride. It suits both daily commuting and long highway trips, and it is designed to handle dry, wet and light wintry conditions.

Key Features:

• Symmetric tread design: The optimized pattern allows simple rotation and promotes even tread wear and stable dry handling.
• Wet-weather traction: Wide circumferential grooves channel water away from the tread to help resist hydroplaning.
• Wave-shaped lateral sipes: These sipes bite into the road to improve braking on wet and dry surfaces and add traction in light snow.
• Quiet, comfortable ride: Smooth, curved shoulder grooves help reduce road noise and vibration.
• Durable construction: Twin steel belts and a two-ply polyester casing add strength and control under load.
• High-speed stability: A full-width, jointless nylon cap ply supports stability at highway speeds.
• All-season compound: The rubber compound is formulated for year-round use.

Sumitomo has been making tires since 1909. The Encounter HT2 combines all-season traction, comfort and long tread life, and is a practical choice for drivers who want dependable highway performance.
