Product Details

The Sumitomo Encounter HT2 is an all-season highway-terrain tire designed for light trucks, SUVs, and crossover vehicles. Engineered to deliver a smooth, comfortable ride with reliable year-round traction, this tire combines highway touring comfort with the durability needed for light-duty truck applications.

Key Features:

  • All-season tread compound provides confident traction in dry, wet, and light winter conditions
  • Optimized tread pattern reduces road noise for a quieter highway ride
  • Four wide circumferential grooves enhance water evacuation to resist hydroplaning
  • Solid center rib improves steering response and straight-line stability
  • Variable pitch tread blocks minimize pattern noise
  • Enhanced sidewall construction for improved handling and durability
  • 111T service rating supports up to 2,403 lbs per tire at maximum inflation

The Encounter HT2 is ideal for drivers seeking a comfortable, long-lasting tire for daily commuting and highway driving, with the versatility to handle occasional light off-pavement use. The 255/70R16 size provides excellent fitment for popular mid-size trucks and SUVs.
