Dorman Blower Motor Resistor

The Dorman blower motor resistor (also called a blower motor speed control resistor or HVAC blower resistor) controls the speed of your heating and air conditioning blower fan. It works by regulating the electrical current sent to the blower motor, which gives you the different fan speed settings on the climate control.

Key Features:

• Replaces a worn or failed resistor to restore fan speed control
• Helps correct common problems such as a blower that works only on high speed or not at all
• Designed to match the form, fit and function of the original part
• Many versions include the factory-style wiring connector or pigtail for plug-and-play installation
• Built from durable materials to handle the heat and electrical load of HVAC operation

Dorman is a well-known aftermarket brand that engineers replacement parts to solve common failures. A new blower motor resistor helps restore consistent heating, cooling and defrost airflow. Installation is usually simple, because the resistor is often mounted in the HVAC housing near the blower motor. Check that the part number matches your needs before you install it.
