Field Controls Double Acting Draft Regulator for Gas Appliances

The Field Controls Double Acting Draft Regulator (MG-1 series) is a barometric draft control for gas-fired furnaces and boilers. It is also called a draft control or barometric damper. It keeps draft steady in the vent system, so gas appliances burn fuel more completely and efficiently.

Key Features:

• Double-acting design: The damper opens inward to hold a uniform draft. It also opens outward to relieve positive vent pressure as low as 0.01 inch, and to spill combustion products if the flue is blocked or there is a downdraft.
• Precise, adjustable draft: Weights make draft adjustments simple and accurate from 0.01 to 0.1 inch. This gives tighter control than a standard draft diverter.
• Compensates for changing conditions: It counteracts the effects of temperature swings, wind and barometric pressure changes on draft.
• Versatile gas applications: It suits conversion burner installations, gas draft-induced appliances with mechanical draft inducers, and sidewall power venters. It can also be used on atmospheric gas appliances where a draft hood cannot be installed, and can help with combustion stability on installations with venting problems.
• Easy installation: A collar is included for a snug, secure fit.

By stabilizing draft, the regulator slows combustion gases through the heat exchanger so more heat is extracted. This helps the appliance run efficiently and reliably, with less maintenance. Choose the size that matches your vent or flue.
