Product Details

The Field Controls 8MG1 is a double-acting draft regulator designed for 8-inch diameter gas venting systems. This barometric damper automatically maintains proper draft pressure in gas-fired heating equipment by allowing room air to enter the vent connector when excessive draft occurs, while also preventing downdrafts from entering the appliance when draft is insufficient.

Key Features:

  • 8-inch diameter connection for standard gas venting systems
  • Double-acting design provides bi-directional draft control
  • Helps improve combustion efficiency and equipment performance
  • Prevents over-firing and heat loss due to excessive draft
  • Protects against backdrafting and spillage of combustion gases
  • Durable construction for long-lasting performance
  • Field Controls OEM part number 01986501

This draft regulator is commonly used with gas-fired boilers, furnaces, and water heaters to maintain optimal draft conditions and ensure safe, efficient operation. The double-acting mechanism responds automatically to changing draft conditions, requiring no manual adjustment once properly installed.

Easy to use website, good prices

You have the shipping option I need

I have not installed the prop yet. But I did get it and it was not damaged.

Good experience and prompt

Everything was quick and simple.

Just received items, have not had the chance to install and test yet.

Was bothered about the shipment coming with a lot of damage to the box and it had foot prints all over it. I reached out with concern and was told I could return it but will be charged to restock/service. This is uncool considering the condition it arrived in from the warehouse or etc.

Looks good so far
