Trane High Limit Switch F Open F Close

The Trane high limit switch (also called a furnace limit switch, thermal limit switch or limit control) is an OEM replacement safety control for Trane and American Standard HVAC equipment. It monitors temperature inside the furnace or air handler. If the temperature climbs too high, it opens the circuit to stop heat production and protect the equipment.

Key Features:

• Genuine OEM replacement part for Trane and American Standard heating systems
• Opens the circuit at a set temperature to prevent overheating and heat build-up
• Closes again at a lower set temperature, so the system restarts once safe operating temperatures return
• Available in a range of open and close temperature ratings, so you can match the original control
• Compact thermal switch design that fits furnaces and air handlers

Replacing a failed or worn limit switch with a Trane OEM part helps keep the safety circuit working as designed. Match the open and close temperatures on your original switch when you choose a variant.
