Hella Rain and Light Sensor

The Hella Rain and Light Sensor (also called a rain sensor, rain/light sensor or automatic wiper and headlight sensor) is an OE-style electronic component. It mounts on the inside of the windshield and detects moisture and ambient light conditions. It lets the vehicle automatically control windshield wiper operation and exterior lighting without driver input.

Key Features:

• Optical infrared sensing detects water droplets on the windshield and adjusts wiper speed and interval automatically
• Integrated ambient light detection supports automatic headlight activation in low-light conditions, such as dusk, tunnels and heavy weather
• Engineered to meet the quality, fit and function standards expected from an original equipment supplier
• Compact design bonds to the inside of the windshield, within the wiper sweep area
• Helps reduce driver distraction and improves visibility and safety in changing conditions

Hella is a global automotive lighting and electronics brand and a long-time OE supplier to major vehicle manufacturers. Its rain and light sensors are built to deliver dependable performance and a straightforward replacement when the original sensor is faulty or has been damaged.
