Hella 011012821 Rain and Light Sensor

The Hella 011012821 is an advanced rain and light sensor designed to enhance driving safety and comfort through automatic control of windshield wipers and vehicle lighting. This sophisticated sensor module mounts to the inside of the windshield and uses optoelectronic detection technology to monitor environmental conditions.

Key Features:

• Automatic windshield wiper activation and speed control based on rain intensity detection
• Integrated light sensor for automatic headlight activation in low-light conditions and tunnels
• Optoelectronic measurement system using LED transmitters and photodiode receivers
• Continuous monitoring that adapts wiper speed from intermittent to maximum based on precipitation
• Compact, modular design for easy integration behind the rearview mirror
• Eliminates need for manual wiper and lighting adjustments while driving

This sensor detects raindrops on the windshield by measuring changes in light reflection properties, automatically adjusting wiper frequency to match current conditions. The light sensing function monitors ambient brightness to control vehicle lighting activation, providing enhanced visibility and convenience in varying weather and lighting situations.
