Field Controls Motorized Fresh Air Damper

The Field Controls Motorized Fresh Air Damper (FAD) is a 24VAC power-open, power-close motorized air damper. It installs in a fresh air duct connected to an outdoor air intake hood and either a duct fan or the HVAC return plenum. It controls how much outdoor air enters the home, so it works as a fresh air intake damper, ventilation damper or makeup air damper.

The damper is typically controlled by a Field Controls ventilation control, such as the Healthy Home System Control, to help meet ASHRAE 62.2 and other fresh air ventilation codes and standards. It can also be used on its own for passive or fan-induced fresh air or makeup air applications.

Key Features:

• Power-open, power-close motorized operation on 24VAC
• Very low power requirement and very low air flow resistance
• Stainless steel body and gate for durability and corrosion resistance
• Tear-resistant closed-cell foam rubber seal tested to 500K+ cycles, with seal flammability that meets FMVSS-302
• Motor and circuit board certified for 100K+ cycles
• Closes when fresh air isn't needed, which helps limit unwanted air infiltration during off periods

Field Controls builds this damper to give reliable, long-lasting control of outdoor air as part of a whole-home ventilation system. It helps bring in fresh air to dilute indoor air pollutants and supports a healthier, more comfortable home.
