Field Controls 46590508 Motorized Fresh Air Damper - FAD-8 8-Inch

The Field Controls FAD-8 is a 24VAC power-open, power-close motorized air damper designed for installation in a fresh air ventilation duct connected to an outdoor air intake hood and a duct fan or the HVAC return plenum, providing controlled fresh air distribution throughout residential and commercial buildings. This 8-inch damper helps meet ASHRAE 62.2 ventilation standards and building codes.

Key Features:

• Stainless steel body and gate construction for corrosion resistance and durability
• Tear-resistant closed-cell foam rubber seal tested 500,000+ cycles
• Motor and circuit board certified 100,000+ cycles for long-lasting reliability
• Very low power requirement and air flow resistance
• Seal flammability meets FMVSS-302 safety standards
• Power-open, power-close operation (no spring return, reducing energy consumption)
• Patented Damper Monitor feature for diagnostics when used with compatible controls

The FAD-8 is typically controlled by the FAVC Ventilation Control to meet ASHRAE 62.2 and other fresh air ventilation codes and standards, but may also be used in a stand-alone application for either passive or fan-induced fresh air for ventilation or makeup air applications. Compatible with Field Controls Healthy Home System Controls and other 24VAC ventilation controllers.
