Standard Motor Products AS742 MAP Sensor Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor

The Standard Motor Products AS742 is a direct-fit Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor engineered to restore proper engine management function. The MAP sensor monitors intake manifold pressure and relays this data to the engine control module (ECM), which uses it to calculate the correct air/fuel mixture and ignition timing for optimal engine performance.

Key Features:

• Direct OE replacement — matches original equipment fit, form, and function
• Monitors manifold absolute pressure to support accurate fuel delivery and timing calculations
• Manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
• Helps restore fuel efficiency, power output, and smooth idle
• Designed for reliable, long-term performance in demanding under-hood conditions
• Plug-and-play installation with OEM-style connector — no modification required

Standard Motor Products is a trusted name in engine management and ignition components, with decades of experience supplying the professional installer and DIY markets. The AS742 is built to stringent quality standards, ensuring consistent sensor output signals that your vehicle's ECM can rely on. Replacing a failed MAP sensor can resolve issues such as rough idle, poor fuel economy, hesitation, stalling, and illuminated check engine lights associated with MAP sensor fault codes.
