Standard Motor Products AS728 MAP Sensor Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor

The Standard Motor Products AS728 is a direct-fit Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor designed to restore proper engine management and fuel delivery performance. The MAP sensor monitors intake manifold pressure and relays that data to the engine control module (ECM), which uses it to calculate the correct air/fuel mixture and ignition timing for optimal combustion efficiency.

Standard Motor Products engineers their sensors to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, ensuring a reliable, like-for-like replacement that installs without modification. Each sensor undergoes rigorous testing for accuracy and durability before leaving the factory.

Key Features:

• Direct OE replacement — no modifications required for installation
• Meets or exceeds original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications
• Precision-calibrated for accurate manifold pressure readings
• Helps restore proper fuel trim, ignition timing, and engine performance
• Designed for consistent signal output across a wide operating temperature range
• Quality-tested for long service life and reliable operation

A failing MAP sensor can trigger a check engine light, cause rough idle, poor fuel economy, hesitation, or stalling. Replacing a worn or faulty sensor with the AS728 is a straightforward fix that helps return the engine management system to factory performance levels.
