GPD 1815058 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1815058 is a direct-fit ignition knock sensor (also known as a detonation sensor) designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications. GPD (Global Parts Distributors) is a national distributor of aftermarket automotive engine management and HVAC parts, supplying professional-grade components since 1974.

The knock sensor monitors the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold for abnormal vibrations associated with pre-ignition or engine knock. When detonation is detected, the sensor sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM), which retards ignition timing to protect the engine from damage. A failed knock sensor can trigger a check engine light, reduce fuel efficiency, and leave the engine vulnerable to detonation damage.

Key Features:

• Engineered to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function
• 100% tested for durability and performance prior to packaging
• Direct-fit replacement for hassle-free installation
• Professional-grade construction for long service life
• Restores proper ignition timing control and engine protection

The GPD 1815058 knock sensor is a reliable, cost-effective replacement that helps restore correct engine management function and safeguard against the long-term effects of undetected detonation.
