The gpd 1811758 is a replacement ignition knock sensor (also known as a detonation sensor) designed to restore proper engine management function. Mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, the knock sensor detects the unusual vibrations associated with engine pre-ignition and detonation, signaling the engine control module to adjust ignition timing and protect against internal engine damage.
