GPD 1811739 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor Replacement

The GPD 1811739 is an aftermarket ignition knock (detonation) sensor engineered as a direct-fit replacement for compatible Honda and Acura applications. This sensor plays a critical role in your engine management system by detecting abnormal combustion events — such as pre-ignition and engine knock — and relaying that information to the ECU so ignition timing can be adjusted to protect the engine.

Key Features:

• Direct-fit replacement — designed to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function
• 100% tested for durability and reliable performance
• Manufactured from premium materials for long service life
• Restores proper engine timing correction and knock detection capability
• Backed by GPD's 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

The knock sensor mounts directly to the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, where it monitors vibration frequencies associated with detonation. A faulty knock sensor can trigger a check engine light (DTC P0325–P0332) and cause the ECU to run overly conservative timing, resulting in reduced power and fuel efficiency. Replacing it with the GPD 1811739 restores precise knock detection and optimal engine performance.
