GPD 1815028 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The GPD 1815028 is a direct-fit replacement ignition knock sensor (also known as a detonation sensor) designed to restore proper engine management function. GPD (Global Parts Distributors) engineers this sensor to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, ensuring reliable fit and performance.

The knock sensor monitors the engine block for abnormal vibrations associated with pre-ignition and detonation. When knock is detected, the engine control module (ECM) uses the sensor's signal to retard ignition timing and protect the engine from damage. A faulty knock sensor can trigger a check engine light (DTC P0325–P0332), cause reduced engine performance, and lead to long-term engine wear.

Key Features:

• Direct fit replacement — installs in the same location as the original sensor with no modification required
• OE-matched specifications — engineered to meet or exceed factory fit, form, and function
• 100% tested — each unit is tested for durability and performance prior to packaging
• Premium construction — built from quality materials for long service life
• Restores engine protection — allows the ECM to accurately detect detonation and adjust timing accordingly
• 1-year warranty — backed by GPD's standard limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

The GPD 1815028 knock sensor mounts to the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold depending on the application, and connects directly to the vehicle's existing wiring harness. It is sold individually.
